Perspicacity Showing at JAVAMONKEY
Portrait Exhibition Highlighted at Local Coffee Shop
Decatur, GA – November 2009- JAVAMONKEY will host the paintings of Terresa Ford in an exhibition entitled Perspicacity during the month of November. The paintings are the latest in a series of portraits of everyday people in everyday situations. JAVAMONKEY is located at 425 Church Street in Decatur, GA. This event is FREE and open to the public.
The paintings in Perspicacity mirror a number of varied states of emotional nakedness. They are not concerned with standard concepts of beauty or covering blemishes. The images of Perspicacity are not flattering portraits of the image that people want the world to see of them, but rather, they celebrate physical and ethical imperfections. Some stare directly at the viewer challenging them to become engaged. Others are contemplative looking off into the distance allowing the viewer to soak in their features like a voyeur.
